Slaven Musa (born 21 June 1971) is a football coach and former football player from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is most known for playing for HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.

Club career

He started his career in FK Velež, in 1989. His next club was Zrinjski, and he was first captain of club after refurbishment, in 1992. He also played for NK Šibenik and NK Široki Brijeg. In 1997 he returned to Zrinjski, where he played last 6 seasons. He was one of the club's best players at the time. In 2001 he received trophy "Filip Šunjić - Pipa" as best player of club, on field and outside it, for season 2000/2001. In media he was often emphasizing his love for the club and its supporters. In 2002, he finished his playing career at the age of only 31.

Managerial career

After finishing his playing career, he was assistant coach in Zrinjski, in seasons 2002/2003 and 2003/2004. He led first team in one match. After that, he goes to HNK Branitelj and stays club manager for 4 years.[1] In the meantime, he earned UEFA PRO license. His ambition was to take bigger clubs, like Široki Brijeg or Zrinjski one day.[2] In 2010, Slaven and his team, HNK Branitelj made a sensation, by eliminating first division club FK Leotar from Bosnian Cup. In November 2010, he was appointed as Zrinjski manager, and his longtime wish finally came through. He stayed as manager of Zrinjski for some two years, before he resigned after not as good results as hoped six rounds before the end of the 2011–12 Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.[3] At the begin of 2012–13 Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina he was appointed as manager of GOŠK.[4]
