The 1940 Western Reserve Red Cats football team represented the Western Reserve University in the American city of Cleveland, Ohio, now known as Case Western Reserve University, during the 1940 college football season. The team won the Sun Bowl.[1]
The team was coached by college football hall of fame coach Bill Edwards. Notable players included Johnny Reis,[2] Andy Logan,[3] Stan Skoczen[4] , Steve Belichick, Dom "Mickey" Sanzotta and Dick Booth.
