The 1965 Lamar Tech Cardinals football team represented the Lamar State College of Technology in the 1965 NCAA football season as a member of the Southland Conference. The Cardinals played their home games at Cardinal Stadium now named Provost Umphrey Stadium in Beaumont, Texas The Cardinals competed at the NCAA College Division level in 1965. The team finished the season with a 6–4 overall record and won the conference championship with a 3–1 conference record.
