1972 Championship of Australia

The 1972 Championship of Australia was an Australian rules football tournament held in Adelaide between the 14 October and 15 October 1972.

The championship was contested by the premiers of the VFL, the SANFL, the WAFL and the Tasmanian State Premiership.

All matches were played in Adelaide, South Australia.

The final, played in front of 23,213, was won by North Adelaide by a margin of 1 point, giving North Adelaide its 1st Championship of Australia Title.[1] [2]
