The 1983 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 95th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The championship ended on 9 October 1983.
St. Finbarr's entered the championship as the defending champions.
On 9 October 1983, Midleton won the championship following a 1-18 to 2-9 defeat of St. Finbarr's in the final. This was their third championship title and their first since 1916.[1]
