Adam Weiner
Adam Weiner (born March 28, 1975 in Gdynia) is a Polish handball goalkeeper, member of the Polish National Handball Team and silver medalist at the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship.[1] Weiner until 1999 played in Wybrzeże Gdańsk, then moved to Germany and initially played for SV Anhalt Bernburg, later changing to Wilhelmshavener HV.[2] He was a reserve goalkeeper for Poland during the 2007 World Championships, emerging from the bench in some games, such as the semifinal match vs. Denmark, in which he was hailed the hero of the Polish Team.[3]
For his sport achievements, on February 5, 2007, president Lech Kaczyński awarded him the Golden Cross of Merit.[4]
