Ale Narendra (Telugu: ఆలె నరేంద్ర) (21 August 1946 – 9 April 2014) was an Indian politician who was a member of the 13th and 14th Lok Sabha of India.[1] He represented medak lok sabha in 1999 and Medak constituency in 2004.[2] He was 3 time MLA from Himayatnagar Constituency in 1983, 1988, 1992. He was also a Rajya Sabha MP from Congress party. He was one of the biggest proponents for Telangana statehood.[3]
Early life
He was born in Aliabad in Hyderabad, Hyderabad State[4] in Padmashali community. He has a younger brother, Shyam, a pracharak in RSS.
Career
He was a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh which is a far right Hindu Nationalist party and later joined the political party Jan Sangh in 1962.
BJP
He later joined Bharatiya Janata Party after dissolution of Jan Sangh. He was jailed during Emergency, and Rann of Kutch Satyagraha on Indo-Pak border against Pakistan's occupation and the movement against the Simla pact and was sent to jail for a month in Delhi.
He represented Himayatnagar assembly constituency thrice in 1983, 1994 and 1997. He also worked as secretary, general secretary and vice-president of Andhra Pradesh state BJP.
He won as MP from Medak in 1999 and 2004 from Medak lok sabha constituency. He was the state minister of Rural Development in UPA I.[5] He was always seen as a most notorious fascist personality. Due to his communal politics many Marwaris donated money to him which he used to amass TRS wealth and built a palatial home in Banjara Hills.
Founding Telangana Sadhana Samithi
In 2001 he quit BJP in protest against not granting statehood to Telangana and launched a party called Telangana Sadhana Samithi(TSS) for achieving Telangana state. He later on merged with TRS Telangana Rashtra Samithi. A. Narendra has been in politics for the past 4 decades. He was also responsible for constructing Ganesh temples in front of Parwarish Bagh and Machlipatnam Nawab residences in Kachiguda. And that strategy to terrorize Muslims was adopted throughout his life. His sole aim was to develop Hindus in telangana.
Member of Parliament
He was elected to Lok Sabha in 1999 from Medak lok sabha constituency and in 2004 from Medak lok sabha constituency.
TRS
He joined TRS after K. Chandrashekhar Rao wanted a united fight for the achievement of Telangana state. He won as MP from the party twice. After differences with the TRS chief he quit the party. He was suspended in 2010 from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi because of allegations of Immigration Scam in which he made 38 crores and then communal politics and forceful donations from Marwaris against him.
He later joined BSP and Congress party in which he tried to make money but was kicked out.
On 27 July 2011 he again joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Personal life
A. Narendra is married to Lalitha. They have two sons and a daughter. His elder son Ale Bhasker Raaj is BJP state Executive member, younger son Ale Jithendra was elected as Gowlipura Coporator in 2009 GHMC municipal elections and also President of BJP youth wing in Greater Hyderabad.
Death
At the age of 67, he died after prolonged illness from paralysis and other ailments and died on 9 April 2014 at a private hospital in Hyderabad.[6]
