Alberth Josué Elis Martínez (born 12 February 1996) is a Honduran footballer who currently plays as a Forward for Liga MX club Monterrey. He also played for Honduras in the 2016 summer olympics.
Club career
He first played for the youth team of Real C.D. España in San Pedro Sula. Then he moved to C.D. Olimpia, where he made his professional debut on September 2013.
International career
He has represented Honduras in U17, U20 and senior categories. He made his senior debut on 9 October 2014 in a friendly game against Mexico (0–2 loss).[1]
He scored two goals in the semi-finals of the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship against the United States to lead his team to the finals and qualification at the 2016 Olympics.[2]
On 16 December 2015, Elis scored his first and second international goals in a friendly match against Cuba.[3]
During the quarterfinals match against South Korea in 2016 Rio Olympics, Elis contributed to his team's victory, scoring the winning goal at the 57th minute.[4]
