Aldo Mareuse (born 14 March 1964) is the Chief Executive Officer at Telkom Kenya Limited.[1][2][3] He is also a Telecommunications engineer and has helped develop various major telecommunication companies including Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. (“OTH”) and Wind Telecom S.P.A as Group Chief Financial Officer.[4][5][6] In 2011 he was nominated "Telecom CFO of the Year" by World Finance.[7][8]

Career

Aldo Mareuse worked as Managing director and Co-Head of European Wireless at Credit Suisse First Boston in Paris, New York City, and London. From 2002 to 2011, he held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at Wind Telecom and Orascom Telecom Holding.[9] He then became managing partner and investor at Accelero Capitol, a Telecoms Fund management group that specialized in the communications sector.[10] Mareuse played a fundamental role in the company’s development, establishing it as a global operator that ultimately merged with VimpelCom Ltd., becoming one of the largest telecommunications carriers in the world. While at Wind Telecom, Mareuse played a key role in the company’s Mergers and acquisitions transactions that included over $60 billion USD in equity value.[11] In 2011 Mareuse was nominated "Telecom CFO of the Year" by World Finance.[12]
