He writes a letter to Kavita stating how beautiful her poem was, she too falls for him after reading it. They both write letters to each other expressing their loving feelings. However, Raja and Kavita get into a serious of clashes without knowing their the lovers who are writing the letters to each other. Raja later on mistakens Lalita to be Kavita as they both fall in love. The rest of the story deals with whether Raja and Kavita ever find out they're the lovers looking for each other.
