American Board of Radiology
Established in 1934, the American Board of Radiology (ABR) is a not for profit physician-led organization. It oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics.
The mission of The American Board of Radiology is to serve patients, the public, and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomates have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill, and understanding essential to the practice of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Physics.
The American Board of Radiology certifies its diplomates through a comprehensive process involving educational requirements, professional peer evaluation, and examination.
