Amnour (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: अमनौर विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar.

Overview

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 120 Amnour (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Amnour and Maker community development blocks; Sobhepur, Pachrukhi, Bheldi, Pachalakh, Chandpura and Saguni gram panchayats of Parsa CD Block.[1]

Amnour (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 20 Saran (Lok Sabha constituency).[1] Sanjay Singh Actor,Producer and Social Activist belongs to this constituency

In Bihar Legislative Assembly election, 2015, voters of Chandila village of Maker block in Amnour (Vidhan Sabha constituency) completed boycotted the polling and no votes was cast in protest against the government's failure to bring electricity to their village.[2][3]

Election results

In the 2015 state assembly elections, Chokkar baba alias shatrughan tiwari of [BJP]{Bhartiye Junta Party} won the Amnour assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Kriahan kumar, [JD(U].[4]

In the 2015 Vidhan Sabha constituency elections, Shatrudhan Tiwari (Chokar Tiwari) (BJP) won the Amnour seat defeating his nearest rival Krishan Kumar Mantoo (JDU).[5]
