Anandapuram mandal is one of the 43 mandals in Visakhapatnam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is under the administration of Visakhapatnam revenue division and the headquarters are located at Anandapuram.[1] Anandapuram Mandal is bounded by Bheemunipatnam Mandal towards East, Chinagadila Mandal towards South, Padmanabham Mandal towards North, Kothavalasa Mandal towards west.[2]
Demographics
Anandapuram mandal spreads across an area of 205.32 sq.km. The total population of Anandapuram Mandal is 60,789 residing in 15,265 Houses, Spread across total 32 villages. Population of males are 30,739 and females are 30,050 . Absence of a town states that there is no urban population in the mandal, where as rural population is 60,789. The mandal has rural population in Visakhapatnam district. Population in the age-group 0-6 is 6,846 of which 3,535 are male and 3,311 are female. The literacy rate of Anandapuram mandal is 48.52 with 29,497 literates which is significantly lower than the state average of 67.41.[3]

Transport
The Anakapalle-Anandapuram highway road is an arterial road of the mandal.[6] APSRTC runs city bus services from Anandapuram bus station to major parts of the Visakhapatnam district.[7]
