The Diocese of Hong Kong Island (Chinese: 香港聖公會香港島教區) is one of the three dioceses in Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican Church in Hong Kong). The Diocese comprises[1] the following districts: Islands District, Central and Western District, Wan Chai District, Eastern District and Southern District, as well as Ma Wan and northern Lantau Island in the Tsuen Wan District. St. John's Cathedral is the seat of the Diocesan bishop, Paul Kwong.
It is the practice of the Church of Hong Kong to elect an Archbishop of Hong Kong from amongst its diocesan bishops. Coincidentally, both such Archbishops to date have been the Bishop of Hong Kong Island.
