Anthony J. Guzzi
Anthony J. Guzzi (born 1964) is a businessman who works in the construction industry. He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of EMCOR Group, Inc.
Education
Guzzi has a BS in Civil Engineering and Economics (with the highest distinction) from the United States Military Academy (West Point).[1] He also has an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. Earlier on, Guzzi attended the Bishop Mccort High School, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.[2]
Executive appointments
Prior to his current role with EMCOR, Guzzi held various high-level positions in large corporations. This includes: President of Carrier Services, Commercial and Aftermarket at United Technologies (from 1997 to 2004), Vice President and General Manager of Carrier’s Commercial Sales and Services Division and Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.[3] Today, Guzzi is also Lead Director of Hubbell International, Inc.[4]
Board of directors
Guzzi sits on various boards of directors. These include: the EMCOR Group, Inc., Hubbell, Inc. and the ACE Mentor Program. He is also a member of the volunteer alumni organization, the Service Academy Society.
Armed forces
Guzzi is a qualified Ranger and served as a Light Infantry Captain in the US Army between 1986 and 1991.
EMCOR Inc.
Guzzi has been with EMCOR Inc., since October 2004 when he came on board as company president. He also held the role of Chief Operating Officer, a position he gave up when, in January 2011, he was appointed CEO. In this lead role, Guzzi supervises the day-to-day workings of the company, with a focus on electrical and mechanical construction, facilities services businesses and energy infrastructure. His total compensation at the company for fiscal year ending December 2013, was $5,175, 639.[4]-
