Anthony Williams (bishop)
Anthony Lewis Elliott Williams was the third Bishop of Bermuda.
Born on 5 February 1892 and educated at The King's School, Worcester and Exeter College, Oxford,[1] he was ordained in 1915. His first post was as a Curate at St. John's Church, Kidderminster[2] after which he was Chaplain to the Bishop of Ripon. He then held incumbencies at St Mary, Banbury[3] and St Peter, Bournemouth. In 1944 he was considered for the post of Bishop of Buckingham[4] but not appointed. He died on 31 August 1975.[5]
