Audrey Williams or Audrey Davies (1902 – 1978) was a Welsh archaeologist.[1][2] She was the first woman president of the Royal Institution of South Wales.[1]
Life
Williams was born Audrey Davies in Dinas Powys.[1]
She worked on sites including Swansea, the Gower Peninsula, Verulamium and London, in particular the Temple of Mithras.[2]
Her third husband was Welsh archaeologist W. F. Grimes.[2]
