Avalon Waterways
Avalon Waterways is a United States headquartered ship and river cruise line owned by the Globus family of brands, which offers cruises in Europe, China, Southeast Asia, the United States, South America and the Galápagos Islands.[1] The company became a member of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in August 2009.[2]
Fleet
Since its launch in 2004, Avalon Waterways has christened 18 new ships in Europe.[3] In May 2011, the company introduced the Avalon Panorama, the industry's first "Suite Ship."[4] With a focus on bringing the outdoor experience inside, two full decks of Suite Ship staterooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open to create a balcony-like exterior wall for broader views of Europe's passing landscapes.[5]
