Bagdana

Bagdana is a village in Mahuva Taluka of Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India.

History

The station of the Great Trigonometrical Survey on the Ghebar hill was close to this village.[1]

Places of interest

The village is a major pilgrim place for the followers of Hindu saint, Bajarangdas Bapa. Initially there was a hut dedicated to him which is now expanded into an Ashram. There are two major fairs organized here annually, on death anniversary of Bajrandas Bapa and Guru Purnima.[2]

There is a kund (well) near Bagdana called the Bagdalav kund after Rishi Bagdalav. Three small rivers unite near here, and there is a temple at the point of junction called the Bagdeshwar. The Bagad river, which flows past Datha, rises near Bagdana.[1]
