Benjamin Aaron Colonomos (born September 10, 1981), known by his stage name Ben Aaron, is a New York City-based media personality formerly for NBC Universal's LXTV and WNBC's New York Live, and presently for the nationally syndicated Crazy Talk television series.
Early life and education
Ben Aaron was born Benjamin Aaron Colonomos,[1] on September 10, 1981,[2] in New York, to Father Mark Colonomos,[3] and Mother Janis Yudelson Salerno.[4] He graduated from Emerson College, in Boston, Massachusetts.[2]
Career
Ben started his journalism career on radio in 1999 at 18 years-old working for "Radio Disney".[5] After a brief stint hosting a radio show in Tucson, Arizona, he moved to L.A. and landed an on air Television hosting job for "Daybreak OC", an Orange County-based morning lifestyle/news show serving all of Los Angeles. From there he went to "Fox" in San Diego continuing his work as a features reporter until WNBC in NY picked him up. He has worked for NBC Universal at WNBC as their host of "New York Live" and as a part of their LXTV-branded series'.[5] There he received three consecutive "Emmy Awards" for "Best Features Reporter". His current media role is a co-host of the nationally syndicated television program, Crazy Talk as well as being a correspondent for EXTRA.[6][7]
Personal life
In August 2013 Ben proposed to ABCs Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee.[8] The couple wed in Petoskey, Michigan on June 7, 2014.[8][9] They currently reside in New York City [10] with their son Adrian Benjamin Colonomos, who was born on December 19, 2015.[11]
