Benny Boom

Benny Boom (born July 22, 1971) is a music video and film director. He trained at Temple University's School of Radio, Television, and Film, and also served as a protégé of veteran director Director X and Hype Williams. He has also directed music videos for Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul, Nas, Amerie, Kelly Rowland, Monica, Keyshia Cole, Mario, Ciara, Cassidy, Lil' Kim, LL Cool J, Nelly, P. Diddy, 50 Cent and many others. His music videos often feature fonts in the beginning crediting himself.

The rap video director has created political advertisements against George W. Bush in the past, and he is quoted as saying, "We've got to get George W. Bush out of office, and it's very important that kids understand what a serious condition the world is in with this madman." Most of the ads end with the phrase "George Bush, he's not on our side."

Boom is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.[1]

He directed the 2009 film Next Day Air. He is also directing the 2016 Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me.

He was the 2009 winner for Video Director of the Year at BET Awards. He was nominated for Video Director of the Year at the BET Awards of 2011.[2]
