Bikak tribe
The Bikak tribe is a Sindhi tribe living in districts Lasbella and Khuzdar in Balochistan, Pakistan. Bikak people are also living in Karachi, Thatta, Dadu, Jamshoro, Dureji, Khuzdar and some other districts of Sindh and Balochistan.
History
According to the gazetteer of Lasbella written by Minchin and Hughes–Buller (1907), the bikak tribe is settled in the vast area of district Lasbella and district khuzdar of Balochistan province of Pakistan, the area from Dhengo to Wadh is known as Bikak country.
In Khuzdar district the ruins of historic bikak fort and bikaki graveyard are the evidences of the ancient presence of bikaks in these areas. Famous historian and geologist sir H.T. Lambrick had written in his book (Sind A General Introduction) that Bikak tribe is one of the most ancient tribes of the Indus valley.
