William Clements is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Nicholls State University from 1974 to 1980, compiling a record of 36–38–1.
Clements is an alumnus of Tulane University, where played college football from 1957 to 1959. He was an assistant coach at Tulane during the 1960 season. From 1962 to 1970, he was the defensive coordinator at Holy Cross High School in New Orleans. During the 1971 season, he was defensive coordinator for Nicholls State's club football team while it transitioned to varsity football. He continued on in that position in 1972 and 1973.[1][2][3]
