Blacklock's Reporter

Blacklock's Reporter is an Ottawa-based Internet publication covering Canadian government administration. It began operation in October, 2012. The site is named after 20th-century Canadian journalist Thomas Blacklock. It publishes several articles each day, along with some book reviews, poetry and editorial comics.

In November, 2012, Blacklock's won a dispute with the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery to have its journalists accredited.

In November 2016, the Federal Court of Canada rejected an action for breach of copyright by Blacklock's against the Department of Finance of Canada and ruled that "there are certainly some troubling aspects to Blacklock’s business practices". It also stated: "The suggestion that Blacklock's business cannot survive in the face of the minor and discrete use that took place here is essentially an admission that the market places little value on Blacklock's work-product."
