2001-2008 | Boston Storm formerly the Virginia Storm (MLRH) |
The Boston Storm were a professional inline hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They were members of Major League Roller Hockey. The Boston Storm played their first season in 2003-2004 after owner/General Manager, Marty Marcinczyk, moved the team from Virginia after two seasons. Led by All Star forwards Tony Silvestri, Brett Wickman, Rodney Millette, and Jeff Goulet. Backed by powerhouse defense from Eric Sarao & Darrell Interbartolo. The team won the MLRH World Championship title in 2006.[1] Part of the rebirth of MLRH, the Storm were one of six teams announced for the 2008 MLRH Pro Tour.
As of November 2010 the MLRH website is no longer showing the Boston Storm as a team. However the site does show the team winning the World Championship in 2006 before ultimately signing with PIHA (Professional Inline Hockey Association).
