Brian Hubbell is an American politician who was elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2012. He represents the 135th House District (Bar Harbor, Lamoine and Mount Desert) as a member of the Democratic Party.[1] He is a returning member of the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee and he was the House chair of the Commission to Strengthen the Adequacy and Equity of Certain Cost Components of the School Funding Formula.
Hubbell served as the first chair of the reorganized Mount Desert Island Regional School System.[2]
Personal
Hubbell earned a degree in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)[2] where he did research on solar energy.[3]
He is a self-employed construction project manager, with experience primarily in public and commercial buildings, augmented by passive solar residential designs.[2]
