Brian Weatherson

Brian Weatherson is the Marshall Weinberg Professor of Philosophy at The University of Michigan.[1] Prior to this, he was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University, and also taught at Cornell's Sage School of Philosophy, Brown University, and Syracuse University.

Australian born, he received his PhD from Monash University in 1998, with a dissertation on formal models for reasoning under uncertainty, titled "On Uncertainty." His areas of expertise are Epistemology, Metaphysics, Philosophy of Language, and Decision Theory.

He runs a philosophy-themed blog, "Thoughts, Arguments, and Rants" and is a contributing member of the political blog Crooked Timber.
