Bruno José Palminha Saraiva (born 1 November 1974) is a former Portuguese footballer who played as a Central defender and current manager.

Career

A central defender by trade, Saraiva played his entire career in Portugal, primarily for lower league clubs which included Olhanense, Atlético CP, Amora, Marco, Barreirense and Olivais Moscavide.

On 1 May 2013, after Olhanense's Manuel Cajuda resigned a few weeks before the end of the 2012–13 Primeira Liga season, Saraiva took on the role of interim manager at the Leões de Olhão,[1] with the primary objective of avoiding relegation. Saraiva would keep Olhanense in the top division on the last day of the season after a goalless draw against Marítimo.[2][3]

Saraiva was scheduled to manage Olhanense in the 2013–14 Primeira Liga season but decided to leave his post where he would later be replaced by Abel Xavier.[4][5]
