Btechguru

Btechguru is an online educational portal based in India, established in February 2008. A part of Bodhbridge Educational Services that was incubated in IIT Madras, it provides online educational resources related to engineering careers, higher education, competitive exams, internships and jobs in India for students of engineering, soft skills and entrepreneurship.[1][2] It has been called "a virtual boon to engineers".[3]

Incubation

The concept was devised by two M.S. (Entrepreneurship) students at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras, Balaraju Kondaveeti[4][5] and A. Prashanth Karthick, along with other friends. The portal was formally launched in early 2008.

The company was incubated as Aerosol Engineering Services Private Limited, in the C-TIDES (Cell for Technology Innovation, Development and Entrepreneurship Support), IIT-Madras, in March 2008. The name was subsequently changed to Bodhbridge Educational Services Private Limited. Its online portal btechguru.com[6] led to "Btechguru" being used as an informal name of the company among students.

The company's CEO is Balaraju Kondaveeti.

Products

Placement Ready is an online training and assessment platform. It helps colleges to improve the efficiency of campus placements.

Local Guru (Local G) software is a content management system that customizes content for local needs. It includes an HTTP video streaming facility, and NPTEL Videos are indexed and can be searched with various keywords. It is typically installed on the Local Area Network of an educational institution.

ExamGauge is an assessment platform where students can be assessed on various employability skills like aptitude, Reasoning, verbal ability, programming ability, etc. ExamGauge provides detailed employability analysis report to the student and the college management.

My Choice My Future MCMF() is one-of-a-kind self-assessment tool developed indigenously to fit the students and youngsters in India. BodhBridge ESPL along with the support of Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras has developed a self assessment form[7] called MCMF (My Choice, My Future)[8] to enable students to have better understanding of their personality. MCMF form enables students to map their personality to suitable/appropriate career choice.[9]

Services

BodhBridge is involved in the distribution of NPTEL courseware, prepared jointly by the IITs and IISc - Bangalore, to students across India. NPTEL material available at no cost. For students and colleges that do not have enough bandwidth to download NPTEL videos, a full semester DVD course is available.

Mr.Balaraju Kondaveeti [10][11] completed M.S (Entrepreneurship) from IIT Madras. Mr.Balaraju Kondaveeti is a B.Tech in ECE from JNTU Hyderabad. As part of M.S (Entrepreneurship), he founded a company in 2006 and holds 2 patents (granted) in the area of Internet Security. These patents were licensed to Lasersoft Infosystems, a Polaris group company. Mr.Balaraju won the Best Student Plan Award in Business Plan Conclave Organized by PAN IIT Global Conference 2008. Mr.Balaraju won the National Budding Innovator Award, 2009 from NRDC, a Govt. of India Enterprise. In 2009, he co-founded BodhBridge Educational Services (P) Limited which is incubated in C-TIDES, IIT Madras.BodhBridge ESPL runs the popular portal called www.btechguru.com and is connected with 2000 educational institutions across the country. BodhBridge has been selected for Nasscom Emerge 50 Awards, 2011.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Mr.Prashanth Kumar completed his B.Tech (in ECE) from JNTU Hyderabad in 2009 and he has been working with BodhBridge ESPL since 2010. He played a key role in launching products like Placement Ready, ExamGauge and LocalGuru for B2B clients. Mr.Prashanth currently manages B2B operations (Delivery, Customer relationship, Sales, and Product development) for LocalGuru and Placement Ready. Mr.Prashanth was instrumental in launching E-commerce section for online courses (in the form of DVDs, Online, SD cards) for B2C customers.
