Caoimhe Archibald (born 20 February 1982) is an Irish Sinn Féin politician who was elected as an MLA to the Northern Ireland Assembly to represent the East Londonderry constituency in May 2016. She won the seat from her party running mate Cathal Ó hOisín at the 2016 election.[1]
A native of Coleraine, she was educated at Loreto College and Queen's University. Graduating with a degree in plant pathology, she worked for an agri food company in Dublin.[2]
Prior to her election in 2016, she first stood for election in the 2011 assembly election East Londonderry constituency, standing unsuccessfully, she received 2639 votes and ran in the 2015 Westminster election, polling 6859 votes, equating to 19.8% of the total vote.[3]
