Carriage Factory Islamabad or CFI (Urdu: ریل گاڑی کارخانه اسلام آباد), is a manufacturer of rolling stock for Pakistan Railways, located in I-11, Islamabad, Pakistan. The company was established in 1970.[1] A total of 2130 coaches have been manufactured at CFI since 1971. The factory has also rehabilitated (overhauled) 1039 coaches up to 30 June 2015.
Current projects
- Manufacturing of high speed carriages for speeds greater than 160 kilometers per hour.
- New passenger carriage as per requirement of Pakistan Railways
