Cass High School is a four-year public high school located in Cartersville, Georgia, United States, one of five high schools in Bartow County. It serves grades 9-12. The current principal is alumnus Michael Nelson.[2]

Athletics

Cass High School offers a variety of sports, including football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, softball, swimming, cross country, wrestling, track, tennis, and golf.

Football

The Cass Colonels football team is led by Rick Casko. In 2004, Casko led the Colonels to the state playoffs for the first time in 21 years, the second time in the school history. In 2006, the Colonels returned to the playoffs behind Richard Samuel, former running back and linebacker for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Wrestling

The Cass Colonels wrestling team is led by D.L. Koontz. In 2006, under former Head Coach Jason Faklaris, the Varsity Wrestling team took first place in the GHSAA Class AAA Dual Wrestling Championships. This was the first time the school won a state wrestling championship. The team, again under Faklaris, took first place in the GHSAA Class AAA Traditional Wrestling Championships in 2008.
