Charles C. Schmidt
Charles C. Schmidt (March 20, 1907 – September 8, 1966) was an American politician and businessman.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Schmidt went to South Division High School and University of Wisconsin. During World War II, Schmidt served in the Wisconsin State Defense Force. He was in the real estate and insurance business. Schmidt was also an interior decorator and an inspector for the Wisconsin Industrial Commission and the United States Department of Labor. From 1949 to 1963, Schmidt served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and was a Democrat. He then served in the Wisconsin State Senate, in District 5, from 1963 until he resigned on May 10, 1964 following his election to the Milwaukee Common Council. Schmidt served in the Milwaukee Common Council from 1964 until his death from cancer in 1966. Schmidt died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[1][2]
