Chinese government award for outstanding self finance students abroad

China Scholarship Council established this award in 2003 to encourage doctoral students study abroad, who have not been supported by CSC (non-government-funded) before.[1]

Currently the award is presented to 500 students worldwide each year.

The awardees are usually also emphasized by their own universities or institutes.
