Christ Embassy also known as Believers' LoveWorld Incorporated, is a megachurch and a Christian denomination founded by pastor Chris Oyakhilome in 1990. The Church has since become a global network of churches with congregations in many countries, with millions of members. The headquarters of Lagos has over 40 000 members. The ministry was founded in Pastor Chris' university. There are several major programs with thousands to millions of people in attendance.

History

Chris Oyakhilome began by leading a prayer group at the University of Edo State, while studying architecture.[1] The church's foundation dates back to 1990 in Lagos. The denomination has churches in many countries. It counts 1 million members. The headquarters of Lagos has 40 000 members.[2]

LoveWorld SAT

In 2003, Christ Embassy runs three TV channels including LoveWorld TV, LoveWorld SAT and LoveWorld Plus which are the first 24-Hour Christian channels in Africa.[3]

Loveworld Publications

The publishing house Loveworld Publications, affiliated to the network of churches, published his first book in 1995, "Recreating Your World" [4] Loveworld Publications has published all the books of Chris Oyakhilome, publisher including "Rhapsody of Realities", a monthly prayer, written with his wife. Each month, more than 2 million copies sold.[5]

Christ Embassy also has a book publishing firm called LoveWorld Publishing Ministry and is a dedicated Christian Book Publishing firm reaching out to the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ with God’s Word through books authored by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

They have published books that cover topics such as prayer, faith, prosperity, divine healing and health, the Holy Spirit, soul winning, Christian living, spiritual growth. They have a daily devotional called Rhapsody of Realities. A Christian Devotional ; Rhapsody of Realities is the best-selling daily devotional and Bible-study guide have been distributed in over 242 countries and over 749 languages of the world including Afrikaans, Arabic, Cantonese, Croatian, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Icelandic, Italian, Mandarin, Myanmar, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili...and still counting! New languages are added regularly, making the devotional accessible to many more in different parts of the globe, thus bringing the richness of God's Word into their lives. Little wonder the devotional, oftentimes, is referred to as the, "Messenger Angel".
