The Christian Worldview Film Festival is a film festival located in San Antonio, Texas. It showcases films made by professional and student filmmakers that reflect a Christian worldview. The Christian Worldview Filmmakers Guild is also run in conjunction with the festival. The guild includes a variety of speakers from the Christian film industry including Rich Christiano, Stephen Kendrick, Bobby Downes, John Fornof, Rich Swingle, Daniel Knudsen and Mimi Sagadin.

2014 competition

The inaugural Christian Worldview Film Festival and Filmmakers Guild took place at the Castle Hills First Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. The festival ran from March 1115, 2014, and featured over 60 films, and more than 40 filmmaking workshops. The winner of the 2014 best feature film was "The War Within", which also won the audience choice award. Other films screened included: Season of Miracles, Christmas Grace, Hero, Veil of Tears, Love Has Wings, and Jamie Douglas: A Scottish Martyr.[1]

2015 competition

The 2015 Christian Worldview Film Festival and Filmmakers Guild also took place in San Antonio, Texas at the same location as previously held. The festival ran from March 1014, 2015, and featured over 60 films, and more than 50 filmmaking workshops. The winner of the 2015 best feature film was Polycarp and the runner up was Princess Cut. Polycarp also won the audience choice award.[2] Other films screened included: Adrenaline, A Horse Called Bear, End Times Eyewitness, and Cody High: A Life Remodeled Project.[3]

2016 competition

The 2016 Christian Worldview Film Festival and Filmmakers Guild was held at the Norris Conference Center in San Antonio, Texas. The event ran from March 14—19, 2016. Stephen Kendrick, producer of the popular faith-based movies Courageous and War Room, spoke at both the festival and guild. The winner of the 2016 best feature film was The Defense of New Haven which also won the audience choice award. Other films screened included: Hoovey, Rather to be Chosen, The Screenwriters, The Messenger’s Box, Finding Noah, Stolen Moments,[4] and The Harbinger Man.

2017 competition

The next festival and guild will occur March 13-18, 2017.
