Mikkelsen also crowned Miss Universe Denmark 2016.[2] On May 14, 2016 and now she will represent Denmark at Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

Mikkelsen will represented Denmark at Miss Universe 2016 where Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
