Christine Caine
Christine Caine (born Caryofyllis, 23 September 1966) is an Australian activist, evangelist and international speaker.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Caine and her husband, Nick, are best known for founding The A21 Campaign in 2008, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization that combats human trafficking, as well as Equip & Empower Ministries, which seeks to aid the development and growth of Christian churches and church leaders. In 2015, Caine founded Propel Women, an organization designed to honor the calling of every woman, empower her to lead, equip her for success, and develop a sense of God-given purpose.[1][2][3][6][7][9][10][11][12][13][14] Caine has written several books, including "A Life Unleashed", "Run to Win", "Can I Have (And Do) It All, Please?", "The Core Issue", "Undaunted", "Unstoppable", and "Unashamed", and has spoken about her passion for God, the local church and justice at conferences across the globe.[1][2][3][4][6][7][8][10][15]
Early life and education
Christine Caine was adopted at birth and was raised by her Greek Orthodox immigrant parents in public commission housing in Lalor Park, Sydney, Australia.[4][8][16]
Caine attended Lynwood Park Public School and High School. She graduated from Sydney University with a degree in English.
Personal
Caine married Nick Caine in 1996, and they have two children.[3][5]
Ministry
Caine grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia.[4][8] She first volunteered as a youth worker, when she helped establish Hills District Youth Service.[4][8] She went on to become the director of a nationwide youth ministry, Youth Alive.[4][8]
Caine founded Equip & Empower Ministries in 2000 with her husband.[3][6][7][11] They are the directors of Equip & Empower and oversee offices in Sydney, Australia and Orange County, California.[6] Through Equip & Empower they also oversee an initiative called Project Europe that offers on-going mentoring, leadership training, and development to churches and pastors throughout Europe.[1][6][7]
Caine and her husband founded The A21 Campaign in 2008, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization which fights to "abolish injustice in 21st century".[1][3][5][6][7][10][11][14][15] With 12 offices in 11 countries, their aim is to prevent human trafficking through awareness, to protect trafficked victims in their shelters and transition homes, to prosecute traffickers and strengthen the legal response to human trafficking, and to partner with law enforcement, individuals, corporations, official bodies, and other non-governmental organizations to end human trafficking in the 21st century.[3][6][10][14][15]
In January 2015, Caine founded Propel Women,[9] an organization that believes in the passion, purpose, and potential of every woman everywhere. Propel Women exists to honor the calling of every woman, empower her to lead, equip her for success, and develop a sense of God-given purpose.
Caine has also been featured on several international television shows, including TBN's Praise the Lord, The James Robison Show, Joyce Meyer's Enjoying Everyday Life, and Joni Lamb, and is a Women of Faith speaker.[5][17][18][19][20] In October 2016, TBN launched a new weekly TV show featuring Caine called, "Equip & Empower".[21]
