Crestwood Medical Center
Crestwood Medical Center is a medical complex located in Huntsville, Alabama. As of 2014, there were 918 employees in the medical complex. It is accredited by the Joint Commission. Crestwood Medical Center has 150 licensed beds. It is a for-profit hospital owned and operated by Community Health Systems. In 2014 Crestwood had 9,608 inpatient admissions, 696 births, and 101,608 outpatient visits.[1]
History
Crestwood was named for the district where it was located, and was opened originally as a nursing home in 1964. The following year, it became a hospital. It was founded by three physicians: Dr. Ellis Sparks, Dr. James Earl Robertson, and Dr. Bernie Moore and the local businessman Archie Hill.
Crestwood Medical Center School of Radiology
A Medical Radiography Program is a two year certificate program that prepares the participant for entry-level employment in the field of radiographic medical imaging.[2]
