Professor Cynthia Pine CBE (born October, 1953) is a British Dentistry educator. In 2003, she became the first woman to lead a British school of dentistry.

Life

Pine was born in 1953 in Guyana. She was appointed Dean of the University of Liverpool School of Dentistry in 2003. She was later appointed as Pro Vice Chancellor, International at Salford University[1]

Pine was made a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2006.[2] Pine has been included in the Powerlist of the UK’s 100 most influential people of African and Afro-Caribbean descent.[1]
