DZAR (1026 kHz Metro Manila) Sonshine Radio is a flagship AM station owned and operated by Sonshine Media Network International in the Philippines. The station's studio is located at the 3rd Floor, ACQ Tower Building (formerly Jacinta Building I/NBC Tower), Santa Rita Street, EDSA, Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City (which is the former home of DZAM/Angel Radyo), and its transmitter is located at Dampalit, Malabon City.
History
It was formerly known as DZAM Radyo 1026: Ating Maasahan later DZAR Angel Radyo 1026 and was owned by Nation Broadcasting Corp. until international televangelist Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy purchased all of NBC's AM stations under the Swara Sug platform in 2005. All of the NBC AM stations that Quiboloy purchased were in turn rebranded as "Sonshine Radio." At that time its studios moved from NBC Tower/Jacinta Building in EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati City to Jollibee Plaza Building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Its broadcast is heard in its territorial limits (Metro Manila), and is the only Philippine station heard all over the world live via satellite through Globecast and through the Internet at its website, thus the tag "Dinig sa buong mundo" (Heard all over the world).
In 2012, DZAR studios moved back from Jollibee Plaza Building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City to the new home ACQ Tower (formerly NBC Tower/Jacinta Building) in EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati City.
