David 'Luttsy' Lutteral is a Radio presenter on the Nova 106.9 breakfast show Ash, Kip and Luttsy which airs 6 am – 9 am weekdays.[1] He was also a regular presenter on Channel Nine's The Footy Show. In which he interviewed various NRL stars.[2]
Career
Luttsy was born in Brisbane, Australia and attended St. Josephs Nudgee College during his high school years.
He worked as a Sports journalist and broadcaster at Radio 4BC Brisbane from 1996-2001 after commencing his career in 1994 at FM88 Hyper Radio at Aspley.
In 2002 he co-hosted a Triple M weekend show "Blood sweat and Beers" with Ashley Bradnam. In 2003 the show changed name to "Good Morning Darra".
Also in 2003 Luttsy started to appear weekly on the ABC TV's "The Fat". Later that year he moved with the show to Channel Seven. In 2004 he featured weekly on 110% Tony Squires.[3]
In 2005 he began co-hosting the new Nova 106.9FM Brisbane breakfast show which has enjoyed significant number one rating success for almost a decade since.
In 2007, he along with Ashley Bradnam was offered a role on the NRL Footy Show. He also appears regularly on the Nine Network's 20 to 1.
He was a board member of the Queensland Academy of Sport from June 2007 - October 2010.
Luttsy currently appears on Fox Sports panel TV program 'The Back Page' hosted by Tony Squires.
He also performs as an on-field MC and venue commentator at sporting events, which included:
- The Australian Cricket Team Test Match and One Day International on-field MC 2003–07
- The 2008 FINA World Swimming Championships – Poolside MC / race commentator
- The Commonwealth Games 2006 – Athletics MC and race commentator, Rugby 7’s MC
- Australian Wallabies on-field MC – all domestic Test Matches. 2005–08
- The NSW Waratahs Super 14 season on-field MC 2006–07
- The Australian Athletics Grand Prix commentator and MC, 2001–06
- The Sydney 2000 Olympic Commentary Team
