David Maxwell Stanley (September 9, 1928 – August 26, 2015) was an American politician in the state of Iowa.

Stanley was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1928. He attended the University of Iowa Law School, and engaged in the practice of law. Stanley served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1959 to 1975 as a Republican.[1][2] He died on August 26, 2015.[3]
