David Thomas Kennedy (April 7, 1934-September 4, 2014) was an American attorney and politician who was Mayor of Miami.[1]
Kennedy received his BA and MA from Florida State University and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1958. He was elected to the City of Miami Commission in 1961.
He was married to Marie Cicirelli Petit (born 28 December 1934), then former City of Miami Commissioner Rosario Kennedy (born 1945) from 1978–1987. He was later married to ballerina, Miriam M. Suarez (born 6 August 1958) from 1989–1990.
There is also a park named after him, David T. Kennedy Park, in Coconut Grove, Miami. The park includes a dog park and the Dinner Key Marina.
