Dumbrăvița (Hungarian: Újszentes, "New Szentes") is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Dumbrăvița. At the 2011 census, 77.9% of inhabitants were Romanians, 14.6% Hungarians and 1.2% Germans.
It was founded in 1892[2] by Hungarian settlers from Szentes. It is located near Timişoara, to the north. As result of the development of the city, many people from Timișoara have built homes in Dumbrăvița, which has the tendency of becoming a neighborhood of Timișoara.
