Edward Herrera (born 14 November 1986 in Pietà, Malta) is a Maltese footballer. He currently plays for the Maltese Premier League side Birkirkara, where he plays mainly as a wing back. He also works as a teacher at De La Salle College, where he teaches pure mathematics.[1]

International career

Herrera made his international debut for Malta on 18 November 2009, in the 4–1 home friendly defeat against Bulgaria.[2] He came on as a substitute, replacing Kevin Sammut in the 56th minute.[2] On 10 September 2013, Herrera scored his first international goal in the 2–1 loss against Bulgaria in the World Cup 2014 Qualifying Campaign.
