Predecessor | Anush Tigin |
Successor | Muhammad I of Khwarazm |
Ekinchi ibn Qochar (d. 1096 or 1097) was Khwarazm Shah for a short time before his death. Unlike the Khwarazm Shahs that succeeded him, he was not a descendant of Anush Tigin.
Following the death of Anush Tigin, Ekinchi was given the position of Khwarazm Shah by the Seljuk sultan Barkiyaruq. After a short period of time, however, he was killed by several Seljuk amirs that had risen in revolt. After he died, he was replaced with Anush Tigin's son, Qutb al-Din Muhammad.
