Endank Soekamti is an Indonesian pop punk from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, formed in 2001. The band's current lineup consists of Erix Soekamti (bass and vocalist) and Dory Soekamti (guitar). A drummer Ari Dwi Hamzah was a member from 2002 until his departure in June 23, 2016. The name of group can also be considered as a pun of the idiom word "Enak Sekali (Delicious)".

History

Formation

The band was formed in January 1, 2001, coincide with New Year's Eve in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with original members Erix, Fendy, Tony S. and Ulog. Because change to formation, Ulog, Tony S. and Fendy was departure from this band. Ari and Dory joining a royal crew which always accompany the group. And failed in the selection of the opening band, the group changing its strategy by making its own demo song and then put the song to radio and their own request. One month later, it became a top request in Geronimo FM Radio. Offer a guest star making their performing the stages in Yogyakarta.

2003–2004: Kelas 1 and Raja Pensi

Proton Records signed to Endank Soekamti in 2003. Their first indie studio album Kelas 1 contained the hit single "Bau Mulut". The album earned success with over 75,000 copies sold and the group increased in popularity after being featured on MTV Channel. Unfortunately, the group lacked of support from several punk communities in their hometown. In this year, the group would for the first time be invited as a guest star in Jakarta. Shaggydog drummer Yoyok and Newdays guitarist Tomo, replaced Ari and Dory while performing in Cilacap during both of them have experience accidents in Purwokerto.

One of music magazine honored the group as King Pensi due to many job from senior high school in Jakarta. On March 27, Kamtis Family Indonesia will held in Bulungan Station. The group was gave nickname by fans, KAMTIES, means Kami Tak Sendiri (We Are Not Alone).

2005–2006: Penjantan Tambun and producer

Since Warner Music Indonesia purchase the group' contract from Proton Records due to success of the debut album, the group subsequently releasing the second album Pejantan Tambun[1] and stimulate making a celebration in the form of a compilation album Berpacu Dalam Melodic. In addition as group singer, vocalist Erix also producer for many community band, such as SKJ94, DubYouth, etc.

2007–2008: Sssttt...

Still recording in the same label, the group releasing the third studio album 'Sssttt.... Their album including the lowest sales album copies due to experiencing concern in Malay music genre. During perform in Senayan, the group' concert was riots by bringing a lot of masses and accusing as suspected. Fortunately, mostly fans supporting to the group for rise from that incident.

2010–2012: Soekamti.com and Angka 8

After moving signed to Nagaswara and three years not release, their fourth studio albums Soekamti.com was released and the title album was taken from the group' official website. It releasing the first single "Long Live My Family" which dedication for their royalty fans to supporting the group from advertisy and also releasing form of biography comic book by Indonesian bookstore Gramedia, entitled same title single.

The group releasing the fifth studio album Angka 8 under the label of Euphoria Records and also releasing the biography novel with same title. The album was available many breakthrough in album sales system slumped amid the music industry, such as CD, novel book, etc. The group also making the short film and music video through Euforia Audio Visual for their live performances, entitled Angka 8 The Series.

2014: Kolaborasoe and Soekamti Museum

Their sixth studio albums Kolaborasoe was released on November 11, 2014, which fulfill their ritual for two years. The group revealed that the album not only to Indonesian musician for collaboration, but also to stand up comedian, campursari singer, etc. like Naif, Gigi, Slank, CJR, Cherrybelle, Didi Kempot, etc. The album also available for BoxSet, bundling book, etc. similar to Angka 8 album. It is produced the first collaboration single "Luar Biasa" with Kemal Pahlevi and earning an awards for Best Alternative Production Work at the 18th Annual Anugerah Musik Indonesia.

2016: Soekamti Day and Ari's departure

The group launching the seventh studio album Soekamti Day on February 16, 2016. In his Facebook' account, the drummer Ari revealed that left the group for his internal issues.[2] Still same of year, the group subsequently to awarded by Anugerah Musik Indonesia in 2016 for category Best Reggae/Ska/Dub Production Work.
