Esteri Tomula
Esteri Tomula (October 31, 1920 in Helsinki, Finland[1] – 1998) was a designer who worked at the Arabia ceramics factory in Helsinki, Finland from 1947-1984. She is known for her decorative work often inspired by Finland's flora. Her Fennica and Krokus (crocus) series, coffee cup designs and dinner-ware decorations.[2] Tomula "used a technique of both print and painting: black outline drawings were printed and then completed by hand painted details in different colors." She collaborated often with Kaj Franck who did the ceramic designs.[3]
