Ethics Committee (Georgia Senate)

The Senate Ethics Committee is a 10 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and seven members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to regulate legislation addressing moral and ethical issues related to the Senate.[1]

Scope and jurisdiction

The Senate Ethics Committee has jurisdiction over all legislation that address the moral and ethical expectations of Senate operations. It includes individuals and groups exercising governance of the people of the State of Georgia. Election law and oversight of voting are the responsibility of this committee.[1]
